Supplier Management Specialist

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining the supplier database in Oracle FMS for all non-payroll payees for Ohio University. Needs good data entry skills, ability to review data and compare to standards set by the department as well as governmental authorities and must have excellent attention to detail.  Accuracy is key.

Primary Accountabilities: 

  • Establishes and maintains supplier database. Processes paperwork submitted by suppliers and campus. Determines appropriate maintenance to ensure accurate payments and data integrity, utilizing standard protocols and controls. Apply appropriate tax reporting requirements. Contact suppliers to verify submitted information and obtain any missing information required for database management.

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal (campus) and external (suppliers) via phone, email and ticketing/work order system.

  • Conduct governmental checks for new supplier to ensure suppliers are not restricted.

Minimum Education: 

  • HS Diploma

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years
