Medical Assistants | Fremont, CA | Contract | From $27.59 to $27.59 per hour

Job Description

InGenesis is seeking a Medical Assistant II to work with our client. In this role, you will perform a variety of patient care and clinical duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and stock examination rooms daily.
  • Prepare patients for exams.
  • Assist clinician in exam room as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring patient flow, including waiting times in the exam room, to ensure patient service in a timely manner.
  • Provide information and education to clinic patients, and assist clients with medical history forms as needed, and complete paperwork for patient referrals.
  • Take and maintain inventory of lab and exam room supplies and ensure timely ordering.
  • Comply with infectious waste procedures and control measures, and exam room and lab cleanliness as per protocol.
  • Work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Current CPR Certification (AHA).
  • One year community health experience.
  • Electronic Health Record system.
  • Minimum 18 months’ experience as Medical Assistant
