LPN - LVN | Fremont, CA | Part Time | From $32.00 to $36.00 per hour
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Training Consultant (LVN/LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering onboarding and training programs for medical personnel assigned to client sites. This role supports the successful integration of new hires by providing structured training, ensuring compliance with clinical and operational standards, and reinforcing best practices in patient care and workplace protocols. As the Training Consultant you will assess training needs, facilitate onboarding sessions, and ensure that employees are prepared to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with client leadership, Human Resources, and operational teams to support workforce readiness and training effectiveness.
Schedule: Part-time; scheduled to work five (5) consecutive days every other week, based on client onboarding needs
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate onboarding and training sessions for medical personnel in a clinical or client-site setting.
- Ensure all training materials and content are current, accurate, and aligned with client requirements, company policies, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Review and enhance existing training programs to improve engagement, comprehension, and retention.
- Assess trainee readiness and provide feedback to support successful onboarding and performance.
- Monitor compliance with required certifications, clinical protocols, and onboarding requirements.
- Identify training gaps and recommend improvements based on operational needs, regulatory updates, or client feedback.
- Maintain knowledge of current training practices, healthcare standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to coordinate training schedules and onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Support new hires during onboarding by addressing questions and reinforcing expectations for performance and compliance.
- Ensure training milestones and onboarding timelines are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of training and operational objectives.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively train and engage adult learners.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care standards, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Ability to facilitate training sessions for groups of varying sizes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt training methods based on audience needs and learning styles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software.
Education and Experience
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of California required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Prior experience in training, onboarding, or precepting clinical staff preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or staffing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to operate a computer and to file and retrieve written documents.
- Physical demands may include, but are not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while conducting training sessions.
- May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment & Compliance
This position is performed on-site in a clinical or client environment. The employee is expected to follow all safety, infection control, and workplace protocols.
