InGenesis is currently seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to work with our client located at Eglin AFB. In this role, you will collect blood samples from patients deciphering the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient.

Job Duties

  • Perform a full range of phlebotomist duties to include proper venipuncture, finger-stick, and heel-stick procedures using appropriate techniques.
  • Perform set-up and complete of special test-related phlebotomy procedures utilizing appropriate techniques.
  • Ensures that all aspects of building encounters, patient accessioning, specimen collection, processing, and distribution are performed properly.
  • Decipher the best approved method for drawing blood depending on specific patient and age.
  • Expect to work with many patients varying in age and health status.
  • Assemble equipment, such as tourniquet, needles, and disposable containers for needles, blood collection devices, gauze, cotton, and alcohol on work tray, according to requirements for specified tests or procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or state licensure as a phlebotomy technician
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • High school equivalent and completion of NAACLS or two-part Phlebotomy program
  • 12 Months of Phlebotomy experience (post-graduation) within the last two years
