Paralegal (12913)

InGenesis is currently seeking temporary Paralegals to work with our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will be working in the NYS Office of the Attorney General.

Job Duties

· Prepare legal documents

· E-file all court documents in state and federal court

· Communications with clients, court, counsel, and others

· Summarize depositions

· Prepare trial binders and exhibits

· Drafting motions and filing them with the court

· Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics)

· Maintain discovery indexes

· Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices

· Gather relevant information from a variety of sources

· Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties

· Other tasks as requested by the attorney

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working in a law firm or a government agency or office setting

· Experience reviewing legal or financial documents.

· Experience creating business letters, notices and other documents.

· Experience proof-reading.

· Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.

· Organized, professional and focused.

· Detail-oriented.

· Able to learn and apply criteria carefully and thoughtfully.

· Preferred Education: High School Diploma, Technical Degree/Certificate Program, Bachelors Degree

*Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
