Job Description

PATIENT CARE CLERK

InGenesis, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and talented Patient Care Clerk to work at our client site the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.  This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.

DUTIES

  • Review incoming patient referrals and contact referring physician’s office if referral is incomplete.
  • Request additional medical history information and more complete patient demographics.
  • Mail accept/reject letters to all physicians.
  • Enter Admission Travel Vouchers (ATVs) into system.
  • Enter Admissions/Travel/Hotel/Meal vouchers into computer database.
  • Make arrangements for taxi service for patients as needed to and from NIH.
  • Prepare charts for all clinic patients.
  • Request/return medical records to Medical Record Department.
  • Work with staff on the delivery of completed Medical Release Forms.
  • Make copies of documents and files as needed.
