Job Summary/Description
Works under minimal supervision to provide advanced and efficient recruitment activities for departments and divisions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Responsible for all facets of recruiting for UT Southwestern Medical Center, including but not limited to tracking vacancies, monitoring applicant flow, developing effective advertising copy, making appropriate applicant referrals, and assisting departmental management the complete recruitment process.
• Interprets policies and procedures for complex and variable issues and makes recommendations for exceptions to policies and procedures within assigned area(s) of specialization.
• Performs competency-based pre-screening of candidates in response to requests to fill vacancies. Refers pre-screened candidates to departments for consideration. Maintains contact with departments concerning feedback on referred candidates.
• Works extensively with departments in assigned area(s) of Human Resources to identify issues, make recommendations, and implement policies and procedures.
• Attends job fairs, posts positions on internal and external websites, and develops new recruiting sources.
• Assists in training or job orientation of newly employed and/or assigned professional staff members.
• Provides direction to departments on Human Resources issues pertaining to salary, job description development, VISA issues, and candidate qualifications.
• Negotiates job offers with candidates and departments. Creates Placement Notifications, and schedules New Employee Orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in one or more areas of Human Resource Administration.
• Work requires effective written and verbal communication skills
• Work requires telephone and personal contact with all levels of internal and external personnel and organizations to explain and interpret policies and procedures, federal and state laws, or guidelines relating to Human Resource Administration, and resolve complex issues.
• Work requires ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Work requires ability to utilize computer and spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Work requires reading, writing, simple arithmetic, analyzing data, writing reports, interpreting policies and procedures, and organizing people and resources to meet goals.
• Work requires ability to develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures relating to Human Resources.
