BUSINESS UNIT/TEAM OVERVIEW
IDP’s global business is overseen by the Global Leadership Team (GLT), led by the CEO it comprises of 5
Regional Directors (North Asia, South East Asia, South Asia/North America/UK/Network Shared Services,
Australasia and Middle East), CFO, GM-People & Culture and Chief Strategy Officer.
IDP’s South Asia comprises of 6 country-based businesses in India, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Sri Lanka,
Indonesia, Malaysia. Core business operations consist of Student Placement, IELTS testing and English
Language Training. Business operations extend across (35) offices and involve the efforts of 300 + staff.
Central to the success of the regions are the roles of Regional Director, Country Directors, Head- Operations
(SP & IELTS), CFO- South Asia, Regional/Country leaders (Finance, IELTS, Marketing, Client Relations).
POSITION PURPOSE
To sustain the current high growth momentum in the SP business at IDP India, there is a need to
increase the non-web leads. It is critical that we forge alliances with educational institutions and
also promote outreach activities.
Since a large number of institutes are situated in far flung area and in the out skirts of the main
cities, it becomes a very time consuming for the counselling staff to be regularly involved in
making cold calls and conducting outreach activities. In order to achieve a long term objective of
having a structured approach to conduct LIS activities and increase field level leads, position of
BDM is envisaged at the major branch offices. This person will be responsible for delivering office
.
The activities will be conducted as per
agreed quarterly activity within approved budgets.
1. Institution Mapping – Map all colleges, school in the target geography of the office.
2. Institute Segmentation- Institute segmentation based courses for proper target planning.
3. Relationships with Key Decision Makers – works with key decision makers of institutes and
forge alliances.
4. Conduct LIS presentations- Work on a quarterly calendar basis and conduct LIS presentations
in the target institutes basis upcoming intakes and focussed destination.
5. Take appointments for seminars- Take appointments and line up seminars with CR/ faculty.
6. Tie Ups for Local Branding in campuses- Create opportunities for local promotion in campuses
to create IDP visibility in possible areas in the campus like Libraries, Cafeteria, Mess, Common
areas etc.
7. Sponsorship opportunities at target institutions – Create opportunities to sponsor institute
annual days, institute magazines, events etc.
8. Create and qualify leads and get them entered in OSCAR.
Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree / MBA preferred
Good presentation and communication including process
mapping and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate across levels and functions
Negotiation skills
High detail orientation
Minimum 2-5 years of similar experience is require
