POSITION PURPOSE

  1. Recruit a Business Development executive to focus on relationship building with key education segments in Subang Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.
  2. Identify Private schools, Private colleges / universities and University colleges and government schools to create awareness and foundation for IDP s Student Placement services.
  3. Sales oriented approach involving regular visits to identified institutions as per agreed calendar.
  4. Build strong client support through ongoing engagement, and quality service to students and clients.
  5. Generate student leads, applications and eventual finalisations from the identified institutions.
  6. Build and maintain partnerships (contractual and non-contractual), in line with company policy. with key institutions as well as Government agencies (such as MARA) to grow number of private students and have access to relevant student target.
  7. Conduct regular market mapping exercise to ensure that IDP is in close contact with relevant institutions as per defined market segments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Performance

Collaborate primarily with immediate senior - Head BD;

  1. to develop and implement lead generation programs including events and activities at the identified institutions.
  2. capacity/capability as per targets and ensure consistent sales, service and client management performance standards and benchmarks which are continuously improved.

Business & Sales Management

Drive the development and implementation of Business development plans – Market mapping , time bound visits and progress updates.

Service Standards

Provide inputs and take necessary actions to the ongoing development and maintenance of service and client management performance standards and benchmarks for the office.

Global Participation

Drive and guide the offices participation in and execution of global improvement projects where applicable.

Communications

Speedily determine when an issue needs to be escalated to the Supervisor for resolution.

Proactively provide timely feedback and advice to the Supervisor on the management of issues arising from competitor activities, changing business environments, change in student visa policies etc.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification(s)):

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree in any discipline (or work experience equivalent)
  • Industry knowledge preferred. Preferably working in Malaysian education sector having prior experience in local private institution marketing team/ Agent student placement team.
  • Having a strong sales orientation and Relationship building skills.
  • Experience in developing business plans, market mapping, budgets and skills to monitor, review and report on progress.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • Experience in working with CRM systems will be desirable.
  • A strong, ethical professional who acts with integrity and in the best interests of the business.
  • Respects diversity in employees.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
  • Must have the ability to work and operate in a team and demonstrate team work skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
