The Migration Consultant will interpret and provide expert information and advice that best supports our students seeking migration and visas for work, study or sponsorship opportunities in their chosen destination.

This is a Permanent Full Time role based out of Auckland


Sales Achievement

  • Participate in quarterly calendar planning activities which help build customer engagement
  • Contribute to virtual/face to face marketing events for lead generating activities
  • Maximise visa applications submitted with local authorities
  • Screen for Student Service customers to identify opportunities for cross servicing for additional academic courses.
  • Obtain offers and facilitate enrolment
  • Effectively maintain and manage up-to-date leads (potential students) in relevant systems, to enhance customer experience and maximise conversion
  • Proactively seek referral opportunities

Migration Advice 

  • Assess student eligibility and provide appropriate pathways
  • Provide guidance and advice to international students and/or their parents on visa or skill assessment options and opportunities to continue to stay and/or study in their chosen destination
  • Actively engage with education providers and immigration to ensure students are kept up to date

 Professional Competence

  • Interpret complex laws and relay to students in a manner that is easily understood
  • Proactively engage with students regularly
  • Assist students with their application submission, ensuring that all information is correct and accurate
  • Encourage students to attend IDP held visa seminars


  • Regularly keep updated on all changes to visa and immigration regulations and policies
  • Actively share knowledge with other team members
  • Attend relevant LIA training and SP sessions

  Interaction and Team work 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to participate in events and provide content for newsletters and advertisements
  • Support the management team with market insights to identify business opportunities
  • Actively engage with the boarder team and take on national projects that support the region

We are excited about you because you have....

  • A detailed understanding of New Zealand immigration laws and hold a valid LIA qualification obtained in NZ.
  • A good understanding of and product knowledge about the New Zealand education sector
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and prior experience working as a Visa/Migration Consultant
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Self-confidence without being aggressive, being able to advise students on the right path forward
  • Receptivity for our students to trust you, are a people’s person who is reliable and friendly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.

Would be extra awesome if you….

  • Excel at communication and are fluent in a second language (Sub continent is desirable)
