We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Specialist Sr to provide expert knowledge and guidance in various HR programs that require a deep understanding of federal HR terminology, operations, procedures, and compliance requirements. As a Senior HR Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of HR functions, including policy implementation, while delivering high-quality work within strict timelines. This position offers an opportunity to lead and mentor a team of lower-level HR professionals, contributing to the overall success of our HR department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Expert HR Guidance: Utilize extensive knowledge of federal HR regulations, policies, and procedures to provide expert guidance and recommendations on complex HR issues, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with HR leadership in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and comply with relevant regulations.
- Program Management: Oversee and execute various HR programs, such as employee onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and compensation, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Assume the role of Team Lead, providing mentorship and guidance to junior HR staff. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Problem Solving: Analyze intricate HR challenges, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions that align with legal requirements and company policies.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with federal and state HR laws and regulations, keeping the organization informed of any changes or updates that may impact HR practices.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, utilizing HRIS systems and other tools to track and report on various HR metrics.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to address HR-related concerns, provide insights, and facilitate effective communication channels.
- Project Coordination: Lead and contribute to HR projects aimed at process improvement, enhancing HR services, and driving organizational growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS/GED, College Degree Preferred.
- Experience working in an HR role.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with the capacity to handle complex HR issues.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and other relevant HR software.
- High level of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
