Clinical Nurse Supervisor -13222
Healthcare Administration | Fremont, CA | Full Time | From $90,000 to $115,000 per year
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to oversee and manage one of our growing client accounts located in the California Bay Area. This role will require the individual to be onsite to build and develop positive working relationships with the client. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, combined with management and training experience to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform QA site visits to assess potential staff proficiencies, opportunities to expand training initiatives and/or incorporate advanced training methodologies
- Partner with Human Resources to address employee performance and/or training issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership, clinic managers, employees, and stakeholders.
- Support onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring alignment with clinic protocols and client expectations.
- Coordinates and conducts site visits for staff candidates.
- Participates in developing recommendations for improved efficiency of patient care.
- Assists with program/project design activities, strategy development, problem resolution, and project implementation.
- Monitor staffing metrics and work with client and leadership to address gaps in workforce coverage.
- Ensures compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations in all work activities.
Training and Development
- Works closely with client to ensure contract staff orientation, training, and competency assessments are on schedule to be successfully completed.
- Completes staff evaluations 90 days after hire and annually thereafter.
- Design and deliver ongoing training programs to address client-specific needs, including regulatory updates and best practices.
- Lead the development, implementation and quality assurance of curriculum and training programs across multiple clinics.
- Lead skills assessment sessions for all clinical staff, providing any necessary retraining when competency is not at the expected level.
- Conduct on-site training complemented by limited remote sessions as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited school reviewed by the Department of Education, in Nursing.
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a complex healthcare setting as an administrator with strong business and management skills.
- Current California Nursing License
- Maintain BLS for Healthcare Providers® certification through the American Heart Association®.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of a broad range of concepts related to effective supervision, staff administration, and Human Resources.
- Ability to effectively schedule, manage, and team-build with a multidisciplinary workforce.
- Knowledge of staff development and basic adult learner teaching skills.
- Knowledge of the licensing and certification requirements for the professional disciplines operating in the clinic, in the state in which the duty station is located.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes in schedules and flexibility in work requirements.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English (verbal and written) in order to develop positive rapport with co-workers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Knowledge of and functional proficiency in common Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Vicinity travel in Fremont – San Jose area required
