InGenesis is currently seeking an Assistant School Principal to work with our client. In this role, you will provide essential support to the school's administration and management, under the supervision of the Vice-President, Superintendent. We are currently seeking an individual with strong leadership abilities and the authority to make discretionary decisions. This position is situated within the dynamic and expanding InGenesis social services campus, serving a community of up to 3,000 resident children. The Assistant School Principal collaborates closely with campus leadership, coordinating and supervising activities to ensure the school operates smoothly and delivers high-quality education to its students.

Job Duties
- Assist, manage and oversee daily school operations, including curriculum implementation, student discipline, staff supervision, and scheduling.
- Ensure all internal and external security measures are enforced ensuring the physical and mental well-being of resident children to include supervision of all assigned staff/contractors.
- In partnership with InGenesis Shared Services staff, set the strategic and action plans for the campus involving residential services.
- Ensure the campus delivers mission essential education and recreational services to residential children.
- Ensure all educational services staff are trained in ORR policies, procedures, culture, competency, and child welfare best practices.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff, to create a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Support the development and implementation of school improvement plans, policies, and procedures in line with district guidelines and educational standards.
- Provide instructional leadership by observing classroom instruction, providing feedback to teachers, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of teaching and non-teaching staff members.
- Assist in the coordination of student activities, extracurricular programs, and special events.
- Handle student disciplinary issues in collaboration with teachers and appropriate district personnel, ensuring fairness and adherence to established policies.
- Stay updated with educational trends, research, and best practices to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Assist in maintaining accurate school records, reports, and documentation as required by the district and regulatory authorities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed to ensure effective and successful operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or a related field (Educational Leadership, Administration, etc.).
- Valid state-issued administrative certification or license.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a teaching or administrative role in an educational institution.
- Spanish Speaking Skills, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational policies, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with campus leadership, including students, teachers, and staff.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in scheduled meetings.
- Prepares presentations and or training as needed.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
- Collaborate with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to operate a computer and file and retrieve written documents.
- The physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
Other Requirements:
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass all pertinent required background checks and child abuse and neglect checks.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
