A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant. The successful candidate will manage system-generated accounting processes related to the global digital distribution of motion pictures and television series across various platforms, including Video on Demand (VOD) and Electronic Sell-Through (EST).

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data integrity across ingestion workflows, ensuring accurate financial mapping, and supporting the month-end close through automated system outputs
  • Oversee financial data flow between rights management systems (Media Maestro, Whip Media) and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle)
  • Review and validate digital license agreements, metadata, and distribution rights to ensure accurate revenue recognition, proper billing setup, and alignment with contractual terms
  • Support the month-end close by preparing system-generated reports, journal entries, and reconciliations

Accountant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within media, entertainment, or distribution.
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (particularly Oracle and/or SAP) and reporting tools.
  • A strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with revenue recognition, and a working knowledge of financial system integrations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across financial and operational systems are preferred.
  • Experience with system integration, data validation, and process automation is preferred.

Shift:

  • Monday-Friday 9 AM – 6 PM Pacific Time office hours (1 Hour Lunch) in the office.
  • Comfortable supporting reporting deadlines that may occasionally fall on weekends, and working overtime.
