A leading technology company is seeking a Machinist - Career to join the Precision Meso-scale Technology Center, which provides mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of their electronic measurement equipment. The successful candidate will develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting edge machine tools such as Swiss Style Lathes, Single and Multi-Turret Lathes, and 3 to 5 axis Milling centers. Working closely with R&D on microwave applications, the Machinist will influence designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensure design for manufacturability, facilitate release, and support production.

Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with R&D on microwave applications, influence designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensure design for manufacturability, facilitate release, and support production.
  • Interface with Engineering, Maintenance, and Management as well as production/NPI Schedulers.

Machinist Qualifications:

  • An associate's Degree or Journeyman Machinist certification is a plus.
  • Career level Machinist experience.
  • Must have the willingness to learn advanced machining.
  • High level of precision and detail.
  • Strong teamwork, positive attitude, dedication, and job flexibility.
  • Experience with any/all of the following is desired:
    • 3 to 5 axis Milling
    • Swiss Style Lathes
    • Mill/Turn Machine Center
    • Advanced Metrology
    • CNC Programming/CAM Programming Software
    • CAD/Solid Modeling
    • Tool Grinding
    • Interpreting specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
