A leading electronics testing company is looking for an expert Manufacturing Technical Specialist to join the Precision Meso-scale Technology Center. The Manufacturing Technical Specialist’s responsibilities include installation, maintenance, repair, and support of manufacturing equipment. The primary responsibility of this role is support of the automated plating line operation, with secondary support of machining, hermetics and metrology operations.
Manufacturing Tech Specialist Responsibilities:
- Supports multi-discipline manufacturing processes and equipment with respect to the repair, maintenance, installation and/or enhancement of a select group of machinery and wet process equipment or interrelated systems.
- Duties may be related to installation, maintenance, repair and support of wet process manufacturing equipment, technical support of production processes, product test and troubleshooting, technical analysis and problem-solving.
- Wet Processing equipment for Plating Systems are included in the daily work, knowledge of CNC turning and Milling equipment is a plus for secondary disciplines.
- Safe work practices repairing chemical plumbing systems, Pumps, motor controls, and electrical.
- Conducts tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems.
- Determines, develops and evaluates approaches to manufacturing technical assignments.
- Solves complex manufacturing technical problems of varying scope and complexity, requiring breadth/depth of knowledge of technical disciplines, operations, procedures and department objectives.
- Develop machine improvements and modifications when required.
- Performs minor and major PM's, working with Engineering to make equipment corrections and solutions.
- Make independent decisions regarding equipment repairs.
- Utilizes all machine fabrication equipment; welding, machining equipment including milling and lathe.
- Non-conventional and conventional PM repair work, assuring all business and customer needs are met.
- May be required to oversee third party contractors when needed.
- Wet Processing equipment for plating systems are included in the daily work, knowledge of CNC turning and milling equipment is a plus for secondary disciplines.
Manufacturing Tech Specialist Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment or processes.
- HS Diploma. Higher education, specialized training/certification in Industrial Maintenance/Repair, Plumbing or Trade School is preferred.
- Experience with plating and chemical milling equipment.
- Strong maintenance and support skills including electrical, PLC and Plumbing systems.
- Must be comfortable working in a chemical environment.
- Ability to conduct tests, and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems
Experience in the design and/or build of tools. - Ability to solve complex manufacturing technical problems to make equipment corrections and solutions
Experience in minor and major PM's, and repair work. - Specialized skills in equipment maintenance are preferred, including Plating and Chemical Milling equipment, Turning, Milling, Hermetics, PLC's,
- Experience in Electrical repair work and Lock Out Tag Out
