  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

A leading music streaming company seeks a Broadcast Infrastructure Support Technician. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining studio and broadcast systems under the guidance of senior engineers, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations across live radio studios and supporting infrastructure.

Broadcast Infrastructure Support Technician Responsibilities:

  • Studio and Operational Support: Provide basic technical support for live broadcast studios (on-site and remote)
  • System Support (Guided):
    • Perform basic system checks and monitoring using existing tools and dashboards
    • Assist with software installs, updates, and reboots on workstations and supported systems
  • Troubleshooting (Tier 1):
    • Identify and resolve common, repeatable issues using runbooks
    • Gather logs and details for escalation to senior engineers
  • Infrastructure and Equipment Tasks:
    • Assist with the installation and decommissioning of broadcast and IT equipment
    • Support cabling, patching, and physical infrastructure work
  • Project Work:
    • Conduct project work, including cable installation, equipment installation, room surveys, inventories, and documentation.
    • Work with schematic drawings and cable schedules/wirelists
  • Ticketing and Communication: Create and update incident tickets (ServiceNow or similar)

Broadcast Infrastructure Support Technician Qualifications:

  • Understanding of:
    • Windows and/or macOS systems
    • Basic networking concepts (IP, switches, connectivity)
    • Audio/video signal flow (preferred but not required)
    • Ability to follow technical documentation and procedures
    • Basic familiarity with IT systems, AV equipment, or broadcast environments preferred
    • Familiarity with cable and equipment documentation using MS Office/Google Docs.
  • Exposure to (or willingness to learn):
    • Ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
    • Monitoring tools (e.g., dashboards/log viewers)
    • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

Shift:

  • 6 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time (preferred) or 2 pm-10:30 pm Pacific Time.
