Job Description
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Work Location: Dallas, TX

InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist pregnant women through the childbirth experience – from early labor, through delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. In this role, you will offer encouragement/advice on pain management, administer medications, and assist physicians/midwives with the actual delivery.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions
• Provide clinical care to pregnant women and new mothers.
• Monitor fetal heartbeat and length/strength of contractions during labor.
• Assist with any complications, as necessary.
• Administer medications during birth.
• Perform tests on newborns after birth.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based upon completed assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as issued by the state of Texas, required.
• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program, required.
• BSN, preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in Labor and Delivery, required.
• Current certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Current immunizations.
