InGenesis is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN to work with our client located in Pacoima, CA. In this role, you will be an important part of a multidisciplinary team to help individuals on their path to obtaining and maintaining recovery and wellness.

Job Duties

• Administer injectable medications.

• Assess patients for reactions to psychotropic medications.

• Support coordination of laboratory services for clients.

• Follow through on prescriptions issued by psychiatrist as needed.

• Assess general health of patients.

• Ensure patient is able to fill prescription successfully.

• Complete electronica and hard copy documentation of care.

• Ensure compliance with medication storage, administering, and accountability.

• Consult with multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Provide crisis intervention when indicated.

• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN license in the state of California.

• 1+ year of experience as a psychiatric nurse.

• Current TB skin test.

• Current BLS/CPR certification.

• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Preferred: Experience with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness diagnoses.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Los Angeles County Depart of Mental Health records documentation.
