A leading medical institution is looking for a Research Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will direct and manage the proposal process to ensure timely, compliant, and accurate submissions.

Research Services Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Budget development; interpretation of sponsor requirements; subject matter expertise in grants and contracts, and strategic advice, as well as institutional review and signature; ensuring that proposals meet sponsor, pre-award guidelines, and regulations.
  • Promote a collaborative model of stewardship among faculty and staff, and is an advocate for a responsive, effective research administration process.
  • Develop and/or oversee research proposals, awards, and /or transactions related to contract and grant management, and maintain contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies.
  • Work on proposals and awards of diverse scope where analysis of data requires a thorough understanding of complex regulations.
  • Complete and approve transactions for signature by the manager or other authorized institutional official.
  • Typically work on complex proposals such as grants/contracts which require task budgets, option years, multiple investigators, and multiple sub-awards.

Research Services Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Experience as a research administrator or submitting applications for funding to federal agencies or non-profit agencies is preferred.
  • CRA/CPRA from the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) is a plus.
  • Prior teaching hospital experience is preferred
  • Expertise in grants and contracts and strategic advice, as well as institutional review and signature.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm Pacific Time office hours.
  • Willingness to be reassigned (at any time during assignment) to a different department, unit, or facility (within 75+ radius).
