  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Manufacturing Tech Specialist, Proc/Prod. The successful candidate will assist Process Engineers in developing machining processes for high-precision components.

Manufacturing Tech Specialist, Proc/Prod Responsibilities:

  • Support machine setup, prove-outs, and first article builds.
  • Execute trial runs and document results (cycle time, yield, process capability).
  • Help transition NPI jobs to stable production.
  • Assist with inspection methods (CMM, optical systems, Keyence).
  • Work closely with Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning teams.

Manufacturing Tech Specialist, Proc/Prod Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in precision machining (Swiss, CNC milling, or WEDM)
  • An associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with machine setup and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with tight-tolerance machining (micron-level preferred).
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume or R&D environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment (CMM, optical systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Exposure to CAM systems (NX, ESPRIT, or similar) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MES/ERP systems (Opcenter, Oracle) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting process development environments
  • Knowledge of process capability, yield improvement, and root cause analysis
