A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking an Art Director - Content Marketing Creative. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop campaigns that are culturally relevant, buzzworthy, and deserving of a consumer’s time and attention. Art Director - Content Marketing Creative Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Writer/Producer, Copywriter, and Designer to concept, develop and execute complete 360-degree marketing campaigns in support of the company's Original launches, across a multitude of owned and paid channels, on all platforms and in all media.
  • Design and develop strategic, conceptual, content-driven campaigns that position the company at the intersection of culture and entertainment, and as a leader in premium streaming entertainment.
  • Consistently develop compelling, breakthrough marketing creative that generates excitement and engagement within the target market and inspires industry buzz.
  • Ensure that the visual narrative is consistent, targeted, and meaningful across all campaign touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing leads and partners across the organization to develop launch campaigns that:
  • Lead with the content, boldly showcasing what is most unique, rewarding, and compelling from the title.
  • Perfectly communicate the unique proposition of the company's experience.
  • Leverage core consumer insights and native behaviors in order to attract, compel and convert the target audience.
  • Innovate how we approach channels and other consumer touchpoints.
  • Leverage data to inform creative strategies and positioning.
  • Elevate the Company's brand
  • Manage the work of external design agencies, animation studios, vendors, and production companies.
  • Direct and collaborate with photographers, illustrators, retouchers, animators, and printers.
  • Work as a hands-on designer when necessary, closely guiding conceptual development through every step of production.
  • Support designers and junior staff with encouragement and constructive feedback.
  • Lead campaign presentations and pitches with internal stakeholders and external partners and talent.
  • Concept, plan, and direct photoshoots
  • Serve as a leader across the team to inspire creative thinking and innovation, always encouraging and sharing best industry practices and new solutions.

Art Director - Content Marketing Creative Qualifications:  

  • 7-10+ years of art directing in the entertainment industry.
  • Outstanding portfolio/reel of multi-platform, content-led creative campaign work (including for print, key art / OOH, motion/animation, digital, social)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading external agencies, vendors, and production companies as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tentpole-level projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing the highest caliber, best-in-class creative.
  • Working knowledge in 2D and 3D animation and editing platforms (After Effects, Premier) is a plus
  • Experience directing photoshoots is a plus.
