A leading podcast and audiobook company seeks a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will support a global People and Places project by conducting data analysis, process mapping, and documentation to inform key business decisions and will assist with preparing compelling and well-researched analyses to shape critical business processes, workflows, and decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with business process modeling, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights that support strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Support a global project by collaborating with the leads and other cross-functional teams
- Gather and document business requirements to inform critical decisions and tool development
- Analyze large datasets to support business planning, prioritization, and process improvement
- Create business process models and detailed process maps
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for system and tool development
- Conduct systems analysis with an understanding of system architecture and integration patterns
- Prepare compelling, well-researched presentations and reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Use workflow generation tools (e.g., Visio or AI-powered alternatives) to map and optimize processes
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Work independently and cross-functionally to develop strategic insights and actionable recommendations
Business Analyst Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, formulas, macros)
- Ability to gather, organize, and analyze large datasets effectively
- Experience with data visualization and reporting techniques to communicate insights clearly
- Expertise in business process modeling and mapping
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using workflow generation tools (e.g., Visio or AI-powered alternatives)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and collaborate with peers and leadership
- Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Strategic thinking and the ability to present analysis in a way that informs decision-making
