Registered Nurse – Surgical ICU
Work Location: Dallas, TX

InGenesis currently has several openings for an RN to work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a local university hospital. In this role, you will utilize critical thinking skills in planning and prioritizing nursing care.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Perform and document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Anticipate patient needs and expectations.
• Welcome and orient patient and family.
• Develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based upon completed assessment.
• Evaluates implemented interventions and modifies care according to the evaluation.
• Provide answers/education to patients and family.
• Review personalized patient plan of care with patient/family every shift.
• Make hourly rounds on patients and communicate next return.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Experience: 2+ years in an acute care setting.
• Licensure: Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications. Current professional certification in a nursing organization, preferred.
