InGenesis is currently seeking Registered Nurses to work with our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will be working in the NYS Department of Health’s NYS Department of Health, Office of Mental Health.

Job Duties
· Perform medical reviews, including clinical reviews of medical records to identify appropriateness of care provided based on generally accepted minimum standards of medical practice
· Completes an accurate assessment of individual patient's need for treatment. Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient problems and appropriate nursing interventions.
· Communicates assessment findings to nursing staff and other health care professionals via the medical record, the Nursing Care Plan, and the Treatment Plan and verbally through shift to shift Hand-off Communication.
· Assesses the need for patient and family instruction/teaching regarding the patient's medical/psychiatric diagnosis and identified medication/treatment regime.
· Formulates Nursing Diagnosis for each patient based on assessment findings.
· Utilizes the Patient Acuity System to determine patient needs to maintain standards of care.
· Assesses personal learning needs related to delivery of patient care.
· Assess the learning capabilities of individual patients as it relates to delivery of patient care.
· Maintain the OMH database iTrak to reflect all completed investigative actions
· Additional duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· Registered Nurse with current license and registration and no disciplinary actions on license
· Minimum five years of clinical experience
· Computer skills to include basic word processing and database applications
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Good customer service skills
· Experience with the professional medical conduct process
