Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking an Nurse Practitioner to work with our client located in Ames, IA. In this role, you will be on-site to provide occupational medicine services and examinations at the occupational health client for the National Centers for Animal Health.

Job Duties

  • Review diagnostic and laboratory results.
  • Provide medical recommendations based on current, evidence-based medical guidelines for consultation request.
  • Provide on-site visits and services which will generally be expected to be Tuesdays and Thursdays and consist of on-site appointments scheduled in 30-minute or 60-minute slots depending on reason for visit and/or type of examination.
  • Available to be on-call to provide telephonic medical consultation services three times per week for twelve hours per day which is generally expected to be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies:
    • The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).  
  • OR
    • The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license and registration as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Iowa.
  • Master's degree from a program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE.
  • Maintain full and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must have and maintain a REAL-ID-compliant Iowa driver’s license.
