National Medical Director (10911)

InGenesis is sourcing for a National Medical Director to work with our potential client.  In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality medical, nursing and emergency services to all individuals in accordance with directives, guidelines and policies.  This position is dependent on contract award.

Job Duties

  •  
  • Works under the general direction of the National Program Director.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection process for mid-level providers and Regional Supervising Physicians and Pediatric Advisors as requested.
  • Provide oversight and direction of the Regional Supervising Physicians and Regional Pediatric Advisors, and participates in scope of practice development and changes, as necessary.
  • Responsible for the development of the MQM Plan in collaboration with the National Patient Safety Quality Management Director and in coordination with other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the development of the Performance Improvement and Risk Management Plan in collaboration with other stakeholders.  This plan will support and build upon the MQM plan.
  • Participates in disease surveillance activities and public health and epidemiology studies/efforts, as needed.
  • Collaborates on the integration of new medical services and/or changes to existing protocols with the competent medical authorities for establishing best business practices.
  • Advises on the purchase and utilization of medical equipment and devices.
  • Supervises and manages the sector chart review program conducted by the Regional Supervising Physicians and Pediatric Advisors.
  • Provides medical in-service training to medical staff, as necessary.
  • Assists with the treatment modalities pertinent to patient populations.
  • Participates in medical conference calls and deliberate or rapid response planning sessions as necessary to meet mission requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Eligible/Board certified in one of the primary care specialties.
  • Clinical operations management and humanitarian operations experience.
  • Licensed in one of the 50 states or US territories.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a community-based experience.
  • Medical Quality Management (MQM) experience.
  • Experience as a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in a medium-to-large clinic, or the equivalent.
