Job Summary/Description
The Animal Care/Cagewash Technician will be expected to perform proper sanitization of animal caging and accessories plus maintain the cage washing equipment i.e. rack washer, tunnel washer, autoclaves to ensure proper operation; while adhering to all BUASC SOPs, policies, and guidelines. Secondly, perform general facility sanitation of all animal facility spaces, including but not limited to cagewash areas and common facility spaces.

Will perform daily animal health checks, husbandry of animal cages, and maintaining facility sanitation plus other duties as assigned. The expectation is to provide a high standard of animal care and husbandry for all research animals.

Will strictly follow and adhere to all institutional, local, federal regulations, policies and standard operating procedures to assure proper animal health and welfare performed and in compliance at all times. The Work Schedule: 7:00a-3:30p Monday thru Friday.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of animal care experience
