Job Description
Assistant Manager (Operations) Expectations:
Your skills, experiences and talents as a Manager will be essential to lead by example. From day one of your start date, you will help create, cultivate and promote a fun and energetic environment. The Assistant Manager (Operations) will work alongside the Esthetics Manager or Store Manager to execute all salon operations and expectations, including but not limited to:
- Demonstrates high standards for customer service, image standards, and consistently executes the FACE FOUNDRIÉ expectations.
- Address client issues and concerns, providing resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
- Meets or exceeds financial metrics including; service revenue, average ticket, guest count, guest retention, rebooking, retail revenue, retention/turnover and contribution goals.
- Can identify opportunities for growth within staffing for growth, average ticket and rebooking.
- Responsible for performing services on guests and leading by example. Able to maintain personal productivity standards.
- Responsible for the management of all personnel including (but not limited to) recruitment, training, product knowledge and skills development, loss prevention knowledge, performance management, safety, recognition, and legal compliance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
- Leads through teaching employees and growing their productivity, has a clear vision of individual, team member, and personal goals. Has coaching and mentoring skills and can verbalize the steps taken to achieve those goals. Can identify when coaching vs. mentoring is needed.
- Responsible for identifying the skill development needed for each staff member and determining the right resource, including themselves, to develop the skill.
- Responsible for placing and checking in supply orders timely and within budget; while being cautious not to run out of supplies needed to service guests.
- Work with the owner to develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Coordinate and promote special events, promotions, and collaborations to increase salon visibility.
- Assists with social media when needed.
- Implement strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
- Helps forecast sales, growth trajectories and expansion plans. Reports directly to the owners.
- Making sure the spa is always up to code in case of an inspection.
Primary duties of the Assistant Manager (Operations) will include:
- Strategic scheduling, time off management, utilization optimization, labor hours management
- Inventory, ordering and supplies management
- Front bar + Esthetician recruiting, hiring and training
- Conducts verbal and technical interviews, able to identify appropriate talents needed for salon growth.
- Booking/appointment efficiency
- Rebooking and client retention efforts
- Membership sales coaching
- Reporting, goal tracking, using metrics to analyze and implement growth objectives
- Employee compliance management and execution
