Business Development Representative

  • The Business Development Representative (BDR) will identify sales opportunities by direct outreach to prospects, event and campaign follow-up, and managing target account lists generated by the field sales team.  The BDR will develop a keen understanding of PTP’s solution offerings and industry space, with the ability to verbally, and through written content, communicate PTP’s brand strength and value to qualify sales leads and prospects.

    Primary Responsibilities 

  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline for the field sales team via outbound calling, email communications, and other direct marketing methods
  • Interact effectively with all levels of management (e.g. C-Level), internally and externally  
  • Initiate sales meetings between prospects and the field sales team
  • Manage calling lists from events, campaigns of the field sales team
  • Work with the field sales team to identify calling lists and messaging
  • Consistently communicate with Marketing to understand campaign messaging and events
  • Consistently log and record outreach in, producing regular activity reports
  • Required Experience / Qualifications 

  • Ability to comprehend the PTP’s solutions and to communicate our value proposition to prospects
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts within the Customer Experience marketplace (e.g.  Contact Center and Customer Relationship Management (CRM))
  • Proven record of lead nurturing, lead generation, and appointment setting
  • Adaptable and professional; working individually or as a member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Strong Internet research skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with sales track record  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in related field
