Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents, Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The College’s fifth president, Dr. Mary Way Bolt, reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Cecil College is centrally located in Maryland’s most northeastern county, just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware.

With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Events & Auxiliary Services, the Duplication and Auxiliary Services Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of campus-wide duplication services as well as event and mailing support through the execution of the following duties:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receives, reviews, prioritizes, and processes duplication requests. Ensures timely completion and arranges for delivery or pick-up of materials.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate production of printed materials.
  • Ensures proper formatting and alignment of files for print.
  • Manages all aspects of production and customer service.
  • Manages the outsourcing of print jobs based on operational need.
  • Learns the College’s receiving/distribution operation and assists with receiving/distribution duties as needed.
  • Assists Supervisor of Events & Auxiliary Services with event setup/breakdown and coverage as needed.
  • Prepares all directional signage for internal and external events as designed by the Supervisor of Events and Auxiliary Services.
  • Responsible for compliance with copyright law.
  • Keeps accurate inventory of all duplication related supplies. Restocks materials as needed.
  • Responsible for cost effectiveness and quality control.
  • Serves as main contact for duplication equipment technical service, repairs, preventative maintenance, and training.
  • Tracks equipment usage, departmental requests, and costs. Prepares reports upon request.
  • Assists the Supervisor of Events and Auxiliary Services with reviewing and monitoring lease agreements and/or service contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Provides training for back-up coverage.
  • Assists other Facilities departments (Grounds/Maintenance) as assigned during any idle periods in duplication operations.
  • Serve on college-wide committees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year work experience in an office or retail environment required. Experience working in mailroom, copy center or events environment preferred. Employment Experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
  • Scheduling:Position may require evening hours and weekend hours as scheduled in conjunction with Supervisor.
    • This position supports Cecil College’s main campus in North East, MD and its additional location in Elkton, Md. Travel between these locations is required. Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficiencies: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel. Proficiency or general understanding of Adobe applications such as Acrobat and Photoshop. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with others throughout the campus community and community partners.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move up to a maximum of 50 pounds. The physical activity of this position includes, but is not limited to: climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting and sitting.

Work Environment: The worker will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.

Based upon the budgeted hours of a position, contribution to the Maryland State Retirement Pension System may be required.
