A leading electronics testing company seeks an R&D Software Engineer to support the development of manufacturing test solutions for next-generation products. This role partners closely with engineering teams to design, develop, and implement software-driven manufacturing test processes while working with advanced optical and electronic test equipment in a collaborative engineering environment.

R&D Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software-based manufacturing test processes to validate the functionality and performance of new products introduced into production.
  • Develop and enhance automated test solutions using object-oriented programming while supporting manufacturing and engineering teams throughout product development and deployment.
  • Configure and utilize advanced optical and electronic test equipment, including time-domain measurement systems, pulse lasers, and triggering technologies, to support manufacturing validation.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize manufacturing test processes while documenting results, supporting continuous improvements, and ensuring reliable test performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop scalable test solutions, resolve technical issues, and support successful product launches.

R&D Software Engineer Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with object-oriented languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
  • Experience interfacing with electronic equipment using SCPI is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of electronic circuitry and electrical engineering fundamentals is preferred.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
