We are looking for a new member of our fun-loving team as a Content Editor with a hard focus to lend a helping hand to our other media properties. The team has been growing in revenue and size over the past year and we are seeking a highly energetic and collaborative person to guide the creation of custom content across our extensive client list. This role requires staying abreast of the needs, wants and desires of our loyal audience -- so to help drive more relevant content.  Additionally, the Editor role works with our clients to help educate them on our audience and product portfolio so successful marketing programs can be delivered. The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive knowledge and experience in the gaming world and can also speak to it with a commercial/marketing slant – Someone who can tell a story that is of interest to the user while driving commercial results for our clients’ campaigns.


  • Better understand the needs and behavior of our online/tech audience and sub-segments and proactively contribute to strategies to improve our relationship with them through client campaigns
  • Assist in the development of new custom content products that are of commercial interest to both our audience and clients
  • Maintain and refresh the existing custom content portfolio to keep the products relevant and profitable
  • Develop quality revenue driving content across several forms and media
  • Through our product portfolio and client campaign ideas, raise website traffic, improve time spent by our users, and drive ‘shares’ of our content
  • Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through client relationship building
  • Accompany the sales team, when required, to pitch ideas and drive bookings/IO’s
  • Contribute to brainstorms for various company properties and clients
  • Serve as a thought leader by finding and distributing relevant research to the global Sales and Product Marketing teams while outlining its implications and ideas for next steps


  • Author and/or oversee development of client-specific content, including articles, video scripts, infographics, and beyond, and help craft creative design and flow
  • Develop a strong understanding of the tech vertical and the main trends evolving in the space
  • Take lead on RFP’s / brainstorms that pertain to your expertise, and your vertical
  • Build client relationships and trust, demonstrate an understanding of their business and how to drive revenue through branded content
  • Work with Product Marketing and Sales to develop new ideas for clients- both proactively and
  • reactively (in response to RFPs) while ensuring that they are realistic and profitable
  • Work to create a unique approach/look to our videos and other Custom Content products that
  • showcases quality and differentiates us in the marketplace
  • Understand how to create content for desktop vs. tablet vs. smartphone environments
  • Explore and help test new technologies and partners around the creation, promotion, distribution, and measurement of content
  • Review site side analytics data to gauge effectiveness of your content, optimizing results to drive ROI


  • At least 5 years of experience in tech content creation
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following a plus: Journalism, English, Public Relations,
  • Communications, Marketing/Advertising
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and fluent in the language and culture of the B2B community
  • Well-versed in new and upcoming technology that will impact the tech sector
  • Driven to develop compelling and innovative custom content programs for the tech community
  • Experience developing 360 campaigns for different audience segments, that include online, live, and social media activations
  • Experience in video production, specifically for online consumption/distribution, is key --- On camera experience is a bonus
  • Strong strategy, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Developed contacts within the tech space from both a new business (ex. Potential clients) and
  • partner (ex. Freelancers/Contractors) perspectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build productive relationships across the business and all levels of management as well as with third parties, domestically and internationally
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and changing business priorities
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of self-motivation and tenacity and a passion for problem-solving
  • Knowledge of multiple business software applications (Adobe, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.) is
  • important
  • Ability to quote pop culture movies and recognize quotes when spoken
  • Key internal relationships include: Product Marketing (Global); Central Research & BI team; Editorial team; Product team; Sales team

$30-$35 Per Hour        San Francisco, CA 94105       3+ Month Assignment (possibility of extension)
