A leading electronic testing company seeks an Optical Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, alignment, and testing of precision optical products in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Optical Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities:
Assemble, align, cement, and inspect precision optical components using specialized tooling and fixtures while following detailed manufacturing procedures.
Perform in-process and final optical testing using equipment such as Fizeau interferometers, autocollimators, power meters, oscilloscopes, and microscopes, troubleshooting optical systems.
Execute test software and technical applications, accurately record production and test data in Excel, and maintain manufacturing documentation throughout the production process.
Handle delicate optical components and transport production fixtures up to 40 lbs while working safely in a Class 1000 cleanroom environment and following established manufacturing procedures.
Collaborate with technicians and engineers, support cross-training initiatives, manage changing production priorities, and contribute to efficient manufacturing operations.
Optical Manufacturing Technician Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in optical test, alignment, assembly, troubleshooting, or repair of precision optical systems.
Hands-on experience with optical instruments including Fizeau interferometers, autocollimators, microscopes, oscilloscopes, and related optical measurement equipment.
Strong understanding of optical principles, cleanroom manufacturing practices, precision assembly techniques, and handling of delicate optical components.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Windows-based computer applications, data entry, and running technical test software.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, work independently and collaboratively, adapt to cross-functional manufacturing environments, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Shift:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Some OT is expected
