The Position: Reporting to the Director Health Safety & Environment, this role will see you join a global team of HSE specialists who are partnering across the business and regions on building, developing and strengthening Hexagon’s HSE framework that both enables operational excellence and embodies a culture of safety and environment responsibility.

This role will see be an integral business partner to the ANZ region/leadership where you will lead the alignment of corporate strategy in cohesion with regional requirements. You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to build the HSE capability, meet WHS governance requirements & local Australian law compliance and embed best practice safety management processes across a diverse and dynamic employee workforce within Australia

In addition but not limited to the following responsibilities.

  • Lead WHS and environmental compliance from a corporate governance perspective, including preparing board-level reports, executive summaries, and risk insights
  • Support cross functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into operational activities and project planning
  • Drive consistent standards for identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the business.
  • Provide quarterly HSE reporting to the Board of Directors, including key risks, trends, and improvement initiatives

In addition, we are seeking those with the following skills or attributes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Prior experience working in matrix organisation supporting a diverse workforce inc of white/blue collar profession would be desirable, not essential
  • Proven expertise in applying Australian WHS legislation, standards, and best practice frameworks, understanding Australian corporate governance requirements.
  • Prior experience in managing or administering a Safety Management System across multiple sites
  • Experience in leading audits, risk management, hazard identification, investigations, and system implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, agile environments
  • Ability to build cohesive relationship across a multi-level stakeholder group, ability to coach, guide & influence at all levels.
  • Experienced in delivering presentations and reports to Senior ELT/Board of Directors

Desirable

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • ICAM investigation accreditation.
  • Experience working within engineering, high tech, manufacturing, or autonomous technology business’s
