Position Overview

The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator reports to the Medical Director, with accountability for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly to meet Care Medical Practice’s requirements. The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator should embody Care Medical’s core values, including Humility, Partnership, Transparency, Creativity, Integrity and Empathy.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator will have the following responsibilities:

Administration:

  • In collaboration with the Medical Director, this role is responsible for setting the policy and strategy for the clinical practice of Care Medical. This includes processes for providing the highest quality medical care to the patient.
  • Ensure performance expectations are being met by the providers including but not limited to: visits/day, quality metrics, accurate coding and documentation, preventative care and appropriate acute and chronic plans of care.
  • Assist and support the Practice Director to ensure policies and procedures are followed appropriately by clinical and non-clinical personnel.
  • In conjunction with the Medical Director and Leadership, ensure any practice issue, impacting revenue, is mitigated. Drive initiatives that will support positive revenue stream.
  • Ensure office is compliant with all counties, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Achieve an attrition rate below 15%.
  • The role will have direct reports including nurse practitioners within the Care Medical practice sites.

Clinical:

  • In partnership with the clinical team of CMP, provide medical highest quality medical care for the practice’s patients.
  • Provide consultations and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in their clinical discipline within their practice scope, consulting when appropriate the supervising physicians for assistance with both diagnosis and treatment.
  • Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans for patients; embrace and promote a patient-centric model of care.
  • Commit to the practice of value-based care which emphasizes care in the appropriate setting to improve and lower costs, address and close gaps in care and drive high patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and support use of the practice management system and electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

General Duties

The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator should have the following duties:

  • Leadership: The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator will lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value, including building a team to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Strategy: The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator will establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for Care Medical Practice Family Members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other Care Medical Practice. business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for Care Medical Practice products and services. In establishing the business strategy, the role will define and innovate sustainable revenue models to drive the profitability of the Company.
  • Collaboration: The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator will ensure that Clinical department capabilities form a cohesive offering, including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of Care Medical Practice.
  • Knowledge: The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator will provide subject matter expertise in Clinical department solutions, including determining and recommended approaches for Clinical department, solution deployment and performance evaluation.
  • Culture: The Senior Director – Clinical and Office Administrator is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe and inclusive work environment for the Billing team and as part of the larger Company.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

o Nurse Practitioner Degree from an accredited U.S. school is required. Nurse practitioners must have completed accredited education and training for nursing and nurse practitioners. An active unrestricted medical license in the State of New York is required.

  • Experience:

o A minimum of 5+ years of active practice required. DEA Certification required. Must have at least 5+ years of experience working in primary care and supporting administrative duties within the primary care setting. 3+ years of formal leadership experience/managing people.

  • Communication:

o Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner.

  • Relationships:

o Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with patients, the community business leaders, coworkers, and external constituents.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:

This is a hybrid leadership role, with an expected schedule of three days per week of direct clinical care and two days per week dedicated to administrative leadership and strategic operations.

In-office work (minimum three days per week) is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with conditioned air, artificial light, and an open workspace.

In this position you will need an to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
