Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our IT team, working on data-intensive projects that drive operational excellence, improve patient outcomes, and enhance decision-making. This role will serve as the liaison between the key CINQCARE business stakeholders and the CINQCARE technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare operations, data analysis, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Health Care Economics, Operations and IT to define project requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets (e.g., patient outcomes, clinical data, operational performance, and claims data) for data pipeline requirements, database mapping, etc.
  • Participate in the build out of Power BI dashboards, and reports to provide real-time insights into healthcare operations, patient care, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, gather detailed requirements, and design data solutions that support decision-making and drive business value.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, R, Python, or Tableau) to query, clean, manipulate, and visualize large datasets.
  • Conduct data quality assessments to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and reliable for decision-making and reporting purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and workflow improvements, particularly related Clinical operations, and work with relevant teams to implement these improvements.
  • Support the design and implementation of data integration strategies to connect various healthcare systems (e.g., EHR, CRM, claims databases) and ensure data flows seamlessly across platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field with experience in HealthCare technology.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry, with a focus on public health or value-based care
  • Strong understanding of healthcare economics and Clinical Operations, including value-based reimbursement models, and healthcare finance.
  • Experience working with healthcare data, including claims data, clinical data, and outcomes data, to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI) to analyze trends, perform predictive analytics, and create meaningful reports.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policy, regulations, and industry standards, including CMS guidelines and MACRA/MIPS.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, healthcare IT infrastructure, and interoperability standards.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:

In-office work (minimum three days per week) is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with conditioned air, artificial light, and an open workspace.

In this position you will need an to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
