A leading university is seeking a Student Services Specialist. The successful candidate will work with prospective applicants regarding admissions.

Student Services Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter resource about admissions and financial aid procedures, and provide accurate information regarding the programs at the Law School.
  • Process a high volume of admissions applications. Receive, distribute, and/or respond to highly confidential documents.
  • Maintain the integrity of data in the law school database and the organization of the paper files.
  • Respond to routine inquiries via phone calls, emails, and drop-ins from prospective students, external constituents, faculty and staff.
  • Research and resolve routine admissions issues, and refer complex issues to other staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of Admitted Students Weekend and other recruiting events.

Student Services Specialist Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of related experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Oracle Financials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong word processing and data entry skills including the ability to produce accurate work when performing data entry, editing text, and updating Excel spreadsheets
  • Customer service skills.
  • Office administration skills.
  • Ability to learn compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
  • Learn compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
  • Willingness to assume a demanding workload during peak periods, typically November through May.

Shift:

  • 8:30 am - 05:00 pm with a half-hour lunch break.
