The Department of Radiology of leading university is seeking a Radiologist Assistant to work under the moderate supervision of a radiologist or physician to provide diagnostic information that assists in diagnoses and therapies. The candiddate will enhance patient care and research goals by assisting the radiologist in the diagnostic imaging environment and providing support for implementation and execution of research studies. They are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to problem solve and work independently.

Radiologist Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the physician on complex medical imaging procedures, 3D reformations, and post-processing procedures.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and execution of multiple research studies involving medical imaging and diagnostics.
  • Operate imaging equipment and other hardware, and ensure proper functioning; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Assist in imaging data systems to obtain images for use in research of pathologies and development of clinical procedures.
  • Generate images for use in research studies and clinical diagnoses; assist in image analysis and interpretation.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures; explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain records of imaging procedures and research studies; ensure compliance with institutional and federal regulations.
  • Provide technical and operational assistance to researchers, technologists, and physicians.
  • Assist in the development and handling of 3D reformations and post-processing images.
  • Collect quantitative measurements; ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Maintain necessary paperwork and databases for scheduling and billing purposes.
  • Provide support by assisting with preparation of interesting cases for presentation and development of standard operating procedures, quality assurance programs, and departmental safety policies and procedures

Radiologist Technologist Qualifications:

  • ARRT, or ARMRIT license required
  • Problem solver, adapts quickly, strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
