A leading technology company seeks a Quality Technician to conduct mechanical inspections of precision machined components and calibrations of metrology equipment. The company offers a family-oriented work environment.
Quality Technician Responsibilities:
- Mechanical inspection of precision machined components: CMM (Optical and Touch Probe), Interferometry, Laser Micrometer, and other advanced metrology equipment.
- Calibrations of metrology equipment.
- CAPA Corrective and Preventive Action support in relation to NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) with thorough documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Quality Technician Qualifications:
- University degree, specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Metrology experience highly desired including: Programmable optical measurement tools (optical CMM), Keyence Image Measurement system, Interferometers used for surface finish and form analysis, Laser micrometers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Work experience in a QC and manufacturing environment is essential.
- Lean, Corrective and Preventive Action, root cause investigation, Kaizen (continuous improvement-PDCA) knowledge and understanding preferred.
- ISO 9001, AS9100, and / or FDA Certifications preferred.
