A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Logistics Associate to perform warehouse receiving, inventory management, and shipping activities.

Logistics Associate Responsibilities:

  • Perform warehouse activities related to receiving, inventory management, and shipping, including unloading/loading incoming material, counting, verifying shipment accuracy, data entry, picking, packing, shipping, maintaining department databases, creating/updating reports, and filing, while moving material to service or inventory locations.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines, carousels, walkie-stackers, Insta-Pak, and order pickers, and comply with company, state, federal, and international quality, business control, import, and export requirements.
  • Support and suggest alternative material handling processes across departments based on production needs or staffing shortages, collaborate across sites with leads and supervisors on continuous improvement and LEAN waste-reduction initiatives, and take part in team meetings, review daily goals and metrics, and provide root cause and corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance as a trainer, mentor, or buddy as needed, and accurately report time worked in the time management system.

Logistics Associate Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
  • Flexibility to perform any and all warehouse functions, and the ability to work onsite, travel to other sites for ad hoc support or projects, and work virtually.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Familiarity with warehousing best practices and methods is preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodologies or a track record of improving effectiveness and reducing waste in process steps is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and trade/logistics applications is preferred.
