A leading biotechnology company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the development of consumable fluidic devices for next-generation DNA sequencing technology. This role focuses on hands-on engineering support across manufacturing, testing, and process development activities in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support flowcell manufacturing, process development, and assembly activities to meet project needs.
• Assist senior engineers with SolidWorks design and engineering documentation.
• Perform dimensional and mechanical measurements, including data analysis, reporting, and surface metrology characterization.
• Conduct component testing, quality checks, and visual inspections to ensure performance and reliability.
• Prepare samples for external analysis and manage component/subcomponent inventory, including shipping and receiving.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of professional or hands-on lab experience in engineering or related fields.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience or familiarity with SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, and/or Google Sheets.
• Exposure to microfabrication, microfluidics, materials science, or metrology/microscopy equipment is preferred.
