A leading technology company is looking for an Inside Application Engineer - EDA Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer support, helping our customers overcome their design obstacles using our EDA software solutions. The ideal candidate has knowledge of fundamental concepts related to RF/Microwave and/or Electronic System Level, and/or High-Speed Digital designs. The company offers a family-oriented culture and environment! 

Inside Application Engineer - EDA Solutions Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $80/hr
  • Worksite: Leading Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Colorado Springs, CO 80907, or California, Also Open to remote - Candidates local to Colorado Springs or California are preferred) 
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k
  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

Inside Application Engineer - EDA Solutions Responsibilities:  

  • Enable our customers to utilize our EDA tools to it’s fullest capability.
  • Debug and duplicate customer issues.
  • Gain insights from customers and bring back requirements for product enhancements or fixes to marketing and R&D teams. 
  • Leverage solution expertise to discuss technical needs and challenges with customers.
  • Train customers either remotely or face to face on the latest EDA solutions.

Inside Application Engineer - EDA Solutions Qualifications: 

  • 5-10+ years of experience in design at least one related field (RF/Microwave, RF System, RFIC, High-Speed Digital, Applications Engineering, EDA Technical Support, Design Flow Enablement, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar field. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to RF/Microwave and/or Electronic System Level, and/or High-Speed Digital designs.
  • Experience with EDA tools (e.g., ADS, EMPro, SystemVue, etc.) Model QA (MQA) and Model Builder (MBP) 
  • Customer service skills.
  • Excellent communications skills and strong interaction skills with customers and colleagues. Able to explain technical subjects over the phone and through email.
  • Must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
  • An independent learner who can stay up-to-date on products and technologies they are assigned
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in assisting multiple customers every day.
  • Software or test automation skills that may include: C#, C++, VB, Python, LabView.
  • Expert knowledge of High-Speed Digital design. (preferred)
  • Expertise with EDA solutions, such as ADS and SystemVue. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of High-Speed digital standards (DDR, USB, PCIe, etc.) (preferred)
  • ITAR may be required.
