Vice President of Behavioral Health Services

Job Description

ALM Hopewell Center provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adults in the northern and central parts of the City of St. Louis and North St. Louis City. A professional mental health staff serves a growing caseload of 2,800 patients, of which greater than ninety-five percent are chronically mentally ill and suffering from major psychiatric disorders. Hopewell Center operates a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center and a Comprehensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center for adults and youth. Many services are provided at schools. Emergency services, including a crisis bed and mobile outreach, are available twenty-four hours per day. A multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, counselors, social workers, educators, and support staff work diligently to carry out the mission of providing comprehensive care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

Functions in accordance with the policies of ALM Hopewell Center, state and federal standards, regulations of CARF, and within his/her professional code of ethics.  Supervise agency program management teams including CPRC, CPRC Jr., Outpatient Services and various other programs and oversee the clinical operations for the community-based services. Presents in public forums educational materials to promote community understanding of mental health and enhance community response to mental health problems. Participates in staffing of persons served to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management responsibilities for cases assigned. Maintain compliance with licensure and accreditation. Participate in development and monitoring of budgets for programs. Ensure compliance related policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Two years of post-Master's experience in a behavioral setting
  • Three years of Management experience in Mental and Behavioral Health
  • Licensed LPC or LCSW
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional
