SUMMARY:

As a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of health conditions, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, focusing on preventive care and health education. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing chronic illnesses and promoting wellness within the community. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall health of the population served.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.

· Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

· Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

· Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.

· Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician.

· Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.

· Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

• Experience in a primary care or family practice setting preferred.

Certificates, licenses and registrations required:

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification in a related specialty.

• Valid MO nursing license and prescriptive authority.
