TITLE: Clinical Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Outpatient Department
REPORTS TO: Outpatient Clinical Manager
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide clinical supervision, oversight, and related administration and coordination in the outpatient department.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinically supervises outpatient case managers and therapy staff. Provides clinical supervision to clinical staff, audits patient records, and helps train counselors when necessary.
Works with a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of Psychiatric Providers, Clinical Supervisor, Assessment Coordinators, Residential Staff, and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the clients and to assist in their overall well-being.
Oversee client group session schedule for therapy staff to further strengthen the patient's bond with the clinic and sustained engagement.
Conduct home/community visits and consumer supervision as needed.
Assist with clinical aspects of the quarterly quality assurance program reviews.
Ensures that all clients and staff have completed all intake, admission, discharge and aftercare paperwork.
Ensures patient progress is accurately documented by staff in all patient charts.
Facilitate weekly clinical case staffing, team and diagnostic disposition meetings
Is responsible for obtaining or maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF and CCBHO.
Transportation is recommended due to having multiple agency sites that receive outpatient services.
Champion a culture of care motivating a positive and seamless experience for all clients and staff.
Skills and knowledge required:
Position requires expertise in clinical assessment from the DSM V, case management, crisis intervention, and knowledge of community resources.
Ability to develop, organize, plan, and document clinical services.
Ability to supervise clinical personnel.
Excellent skills in active listening and communication.
Good Interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse treatment team.
Effective oral and written communication skills and organization skills are essential, as well as the ability to:
- work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- adapt to workload demands and set priorities;
- present a positive attitude and professional appearance
- build rapport with clients and develop positive working relationships.
Qualifications for this Position:
Ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Behavioral Health sciences, with experience in the crisis intervention, case management, assessment and treatment of community mental health.
CERTIFICATION OR LICENSE REQUIRED:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor. Provisional licensure will be considered.
