People's Community Action Program (PCAC) is seeking student interns for Summer 2025. PCAC student intern work will be assigned by the direct report of the department or program managers or Executive Director. Given the nature of non-profit work, the student or intern must have a passion for public sector service and community engagement. Assignments are expected to be carried out under supervision within the office or occasionally remotely.

Purpose: To further the mission of PCAC by assisting with activities, programs, services and overall administration.

Skills Gained:

• Overall knowledge of nonprofit management and administration
• Understanding of programs and services offered by PCAC and related organizations
• Greater leadership awareness as it relates to family self-sufficiency, employment and job readiness skills along with the ability to develop relationships with community residents and leaders

Student Intern Qualifications:

• Between the ages of 16 to 24
• Must live in St. Louis City or Wellston
• Mid-May to August 2025 availability
• PC skills and ability to perform administrative work
• Qualified applicants' family income must meet program requirements
