Program Manager at People's Community Action Corporation
SUMMARY The position will supervise direct client services at their location, including intake, case management, emergency services programs, food pantry, and amongst other areas. The Program Manager will also schedule life skills classes manage volunteers and other duties as necessary to provide service at the assigned locations. The Program Manager is responsible for facilitating the function of technical systems and equipment used by the staff of PCAC, training PCAC employees as needed in these, and providing support as needed for staff and the Leadership Team. REPORTS TO VP of Operations & Executive Administrator SUPERVISES All intake, case management and emergency services and other staff as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This description may not include all of the duties and responsibilities listed below nor do the duties and responsibilities listed below include every task that may be attached to the position. The Executive Administrator and the Direct Supervisor may assign or occasionally require other duties, including direct services to clients and special events.
Site Management
Manage all employees located or under the responsibility of the site, to include but not limited to:
♦Daily supervision of employee and volunteer activities
♦Performance review
♦Mentor and advise employees in their activities and responsibilities
Assure compliance with relevant policies and procedures of PCAC
Assure physical maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the site
Develop, coordinate and execute site-specific special events
Management of site-specific financial matters, such as relations with the landlord and needs for such items as pest management
Service Area Community Engagement
Develop and maintain positive relationships within the service area with colleague organizations and individuals, so as to:
♦Initiate and maintain program and activity partnerships
♦Identify resources and referrals for client-families
♦Initiate and maintain relationships to further public policy opportunities and community-levelactivities
♦Represent PCAC at community meetings and events within the service area
♦Identify and develop opportunities for public policy and community level activity related toissues that affect the lives of those living in poverty and that can positively impact their lives
Data Management
Maintain data and files of client-families as directed by PCAC policies and procedures to maximize effective aid to client-families
Maintain site systems for data identified as necessary for internal and external reporting of agency, site and employee performance
Complete reports necessary for internal and external reporting of agency, site and employee performance
Leadership Team
Participate as a member of the Leadership Team in agency management and advancement
Professional Development
Develop and maintain affiliations and relationships to advance professional skills and knowledge
Organizational Development
Initiate and develop activities to meet and further agency-wide needs and goals, such as but not limited to:
♦Resource acquisition
♦Agency capacity building
♦Agency programs
♦External partnerships and collaborations
♦Funding opportunities
PERFORMANCE REVIEW Annual written performance review by and in person meeting with Executive Administrator Intermittent review as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS BS, BA, or three years of Program Management experience and relevant social service or community organizing experience, or business experience and the equivalent Ability to use a complex database Ability to multi-task Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others Ability to do public speaking Ability to work with diverse populations Ability to write reports, business correspondence and other professional communications Valid Missouri Driver License and insured vehicle available for use on the job or acceptable alternative Availability to work occasional evening or weekend hours as requested
