Summary: People’s Family of Corporations is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (Adult Medicine) to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will work with a Physician (Family Medicine), a licensed practical nurse (LPN), other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions, plan long-term care needs, administer medicine, use medical equipment, perform minor medical operations, and advise patients and their families on illness, care and overall health improvement. The Nurse Practitioner will assist the medical team in various tasks in People’s Healthcare Services by Home State Health Clinics, new health collaboration with Centene, Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers, and Schnucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The experienced energetic person will perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

Education Requirements: Advanced Nursing degree/Master's degree (M. A.) and experience working in fast clinic setting.
