The Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers, has a current opening for a dynamic, customer focused Clinical Assessment Manager

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide clinical supervision, oversight, and related administration and coordination duties to ensure clients are assessed for mental health services. The supervisory position oversees clinical assessors who conduct an objective assessment of symptom presentations across a variety of clinical settings. Additionally, clinical supervisor may complete a detailed mental health assessment of the clients.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures clients receive comprehensive mental health evaluation & screening services.

Responsible for providing clinical supervision to intake, triage, and pre-admission procedures for all referrals in assigned catchment area/programs.

Reviews diagnostic assessments, and treatment ensuring they align with the standardized regulatory diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.

Applied knowledge and understanding of program, policies and procedures, and referral resources to assist others in resolving issues within scope of authority.

Provide crises intervention as needed to include assessment for outpatient clients.

Responds to critical incidents immediately, provides clinical support and follow-up, and ensures timely, accurate reporting of incidents in accordance with agency policy.

Ensure clinical annual reviews/ assessments are completed in a timely manner.

Maintains a commitment to evidenced based practice.

Ensure clinical assessors complete objective assessments of symptom presentations consistent with regulatory standards, and within the scope of practice.

Completes all client reporting requirements and documentation consistent with corporate and regulatory standards.

Responsible for staff recruitment, interviewing, and training as directed

Ensure clients receive the best clinical services and in a timely manner.

Serves as a resource to other clinicians.

Skills and knowledge required:

Ability to develop, organize, plan, and document clinical services; and ability to supervise clinical personnel.

Position requires excellent skills in active listening, and communication.

Position requires expertise in clinical assessment, crisis intervention

Knowledge of community resources.

Good Interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse treatment team.

Effective oral and written communication skills and organization skills are essential, as well as, the ability to:

1) work under pressure and meet deadlines;

2) adapt to workload demands and set priorities;

3) present a positive attitude and professional appearance

4) build rapport with clients and develop positive working relationships.

Qualifications for this Position:

Ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with experience in the assessment and treatment in a community mental health setting.

CERTIFICATION OR LICENSE REQUIRED:

Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) .
